Mounting the MRobotics Standard Pixhawk Flight Controller

NOTE: your pixhawk flight controller (FC) may look different than the one pictured here. All pixhawk FCs have similar connectors and ports and function the same.

The connectors for the Pixhawk Durandal are different shapes but the port names are the same.

See the next page to see mounting of the Pixhawk Durandal.

Use the vibration isolation foam to secure the pixhawk to the upper plate with the arrow on top pointed to the front of the drone.

Note: if you mount the FC in a direction other than toward the front you can enter the offset in the configuration software (Q Ground Control).

Plug the motor signal wires into the corresponding channel on the FC

It is critical to ensure the correct motor signal wire is plugged into the correct channel to avoid aifcraft damage.

Secure the wire harness yellow XT60 connector end to the bottom of the frame.

Plug the power module into teh wire harness.

Secure the power module to the upper plate with zipties.

The 6-wire cable connect the power module to the Power port on the pixhawk.

Secure the buzzer to the frame with one of hinge screws.

Ziptie the safety switch to on of the rear stand offs.

Mount one of the telemetry radios on the upper plate with adhesive tape and secure with a ziptie if possible.

Plug connector into TELEM 1 Port and into telemetry radio.

Assemble GPS antenna

The larger connector plugs into the GPS port and the smaller one plugs into the I2C connector.

Install the battery plate

Connect the receiver wire to the "RC IN" channel at the front of the pixhawk where the motors plug in with the white or yellow wire at the bottom.

Plug the other end into the PPM/CH1 slot on the receiver with the white of yellow wire on top.

Use adhesive pads and zipties to secure receiver to the lower deck at the rear of the aircraft.

Ready to connect to your computer and configure.

Power Module
Plug into the Buzzer connector
Mount the antenna at the rear using screws from the joint / hinge.
You will need to assemble the GPS antenna case.
Secure the antenna wires with zipties.
