Mounting the Flight Controller

Step 1

Place the 4n1 ESC on the nylon standoffs like above.

Step 2

Press and turn, screwing the four gnarled aluminum standoffs onto the nylon standoffs that are supporting the ESC like shown to the right.

Installing the Barometer Shield

Note: Previous version of the Corba (non-GPS) did NOT include the barometer shield. If you have an earlier version you can ignore this step.

The barometer, located on the bottom of the flight controller, is sensitive to both light and wind.

Clip the four grommets off the perimeter of the print to be used as washers on top of the flight controller before adding the nuts.

A barometer is key to good altitude hold and needs to be protected.

The flight controller will fit only one way, onto the print, so make sure to pay attention when adding this part.

Picture above shows how the studs are centered in the holes of the flight controller.

Install grommets with the smaller end down. (Not necessary on non-GPS Cobra)

Arrows show the grommets installed on the screws.

Flip the flight controller onto the four gnarled standoffs you added. Notice the arrow should be pointing forward. Then use the nuts provided to secure the flight controller in place. An alternate set of black nylon nuts should also be included in the event these are easier for the individual.

Note: The following steps are not necessary for the Non-GPS version Cobra

Add six of the standoffs using the 6mm M3 bolts. Set two aside to be used for the camera.

Add the GPS mount- slide down over the rear stand-offs.

Notice there is a small arrow on the GPS puck, this must be facing towards the front of the drone. (Same as the arrow on the flight controller)

The connector will plug into the opposite side of the arrow as shown to the right.

Press the GPS up into the printed holder. It should be a snug fit. Try to take the slack out of any wiring to keep it from getting damaged. There should have been some glue included with your kit. Add some glue to the sides of the GPS puck. Adding glue, should prevent losing your GPS puck in a crash.
